Meet Jenna

Jenna has learned 90% of what she knows by someone telling her a good story. This includes back-porch farm tales from Iowan uncles, literary arguments from Berkeley professors, and numerous life lessons from Bowie lyrics, TED Talks, and a steady stream of podcasts. As such, she’s a firm believer that a good story, told skillfully, is a great way to move people, make change, and influence the world for the better.

Jenna spent the first years of her career doing this — creating quality editorial and video content — while leading teams at AOL, Time Inc, NBC, and Participant Media. More recently, as a partner and head of creative for the content marketing agency Redbird, she worked arm in arm with major brands and foundations developing brand stories, content strategies, and world-class creative.

She has been recognized for award-winning brand campaigns, videos, print magazines, websites and social content for established and emerging companies—much of which she created in collaboration with her Program 11 business partner, Miriam Bookey. Her clients have included Microsoft, Kaiser Permanente, Banner Health, Costco, Clorox, UCLA, California Closets, JP Morgan, and the The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Jenna graduated elementary school in Iowa, college in Berkeley, and received several honorary “life” degrees in San Francisco and New York. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and lap-cat, Zoey.
